Return
Well, it’s been a beat - more than a year actually.
A great deal has happened in this time both professionally and personally, namely making the step up to senior leadership in a new context as well as the addition of two new babies in the last 18 months. Where reflective practice was a part of my cadence in previous years, it is fair to say that there has been little space and time for a regular examination of my work.
By way of an introduction (or reintroducing myself) my name is Mark, and I am an Assistant Principal, husband and father to 6 kids (5 girls and 1 boy). Here’s what LinkedIn said about me from last year. I’m far more than this novel use of AI, however
you get this gist.
In 2025, I hope to build upon this by making a return to a regular reflective rhythm that takes into account the various aspects of my role and interests with the view to critically reflect, learn and improve.
In my next post, I will share with you the word that I have chosen to set as a professional intention in 2025, one that I hope will help navigate the year ahead.
Until next time, go gently.
